Life time painter working in oils, watercolor and graphite.
Having grown up in several coastal locations, he developed a fascination with weather and atmospheric conditions. An early interest in sailing boats was a natural development which has contributed to the making of his work.
Tinkham’s education includes a BFA from Swain School of design and University of Massachusetts and an MFA from Brooklyn College.
He has been exhibiting his work since his mid twenties and has shown primarily in New York City, New England and Key West. He also has exhibited in Berlin, Tokyo and Lunenberg Nova Scotia.
He is currently showing at Nash Gallery in Easthampton, Ma., Gallery 65 on William in New Bedford, Ma. and Lucky Street Gallery in Key West, Fl.
He lives and works in Key West and travels during the summers.
