Jayme Barr-Nobles was born in rural southern Missouri in 1951 and she currently lives and works in Clearwater, Florida.
She received her Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Painting and Printmaking, from San Francisco State University in 1979.
Her work has been exhibited from California to New Hampshire and is included in numerous private and corporate collections. She has been represented by galleries in San Francisco, Memphis and Birmingham. She has exhibited at ArtMiami and was interviewed by NPR’s “Fresh Air” program, “Women Artists over 50,” for broadcast during the exhibition.
Reviews of her work have appeared in the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, The Memphis Business Journal, Birmingham’s City Magazine and Birmingham’s City Paper, “Black & White,” Portico Magazine and The Birmingham News.
