Artist John Martini.John Martini is one of Key West’s leading artists. Working in new and recycled steel, Martini uses a cutting torch to transform base metal into complex sculptures His new, multi-dimensional work includes extraordinary depictions of birds, animals, and human figures. Many of his figurative pieces have graced Sculpture Key West. He had a show at Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey, where he created Head2Head, an 80-foot tall sculpture on a major NJ highway.

His sculptures have been shown in single-person and group shows in galleries in Miami, Palm Beach, New York, Chicago. Portland, and Seattle.  His work has been shown at SOFA (Sculptural Objects and Functional Art) shows in Miami and Chicago. A large rooster sculpture was selected for the Norton Museum of Art’s “Animal as Muse” show in West Palm Beach. An early South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship winner, had a one-man exhibition in Paris in 2011and shows in Key West and Atlanta in 2012.
