Lucky Street Gallery continues to expand its repertory company of artists with the addition of Larry Estridge. His new folded steel sculpture, Star of the Sea, is a signal addition to the Lucky Street Garden, while his smaller wall and pedestal work in folded aluminum or steel grace the interior of the gallery.
Estridge, whose work has been seen in Key West over the last twenty years at the Miller Gallery, Charest-Weinberg, Lucky Street and the Tropic Cinema, was educated at Harvard. He divides his time between Key West and Utah.
“The finely worked, industrially-finished pieces, with their complex topological surfaces that actively play off one another with changing light and vantage points, offer diverse readings of archetypal content,” according to the Torrey Galllery in Utah.
